What is “somatic” & “relational” therapy?

Somatic therapy supports one’s whole being and attends to the body as the container of one’s life and self. This work involves deepening awareness of sensations and making connections between thoughts and feelings (and feeling those feelings), playing with posture and movement to discharge stored-up hurt or trauma, exploring boundaries and embodiment, improving mindfulness and nervous-system regulation.

And the relational part? Welp, the thing is, we just can’t do this being human on our own. We need each other— for sensing safety, for witness and counsel, for holding and for holding up. Safe, attuned therapeutic support is one of many ways we can experience more connection.

But what does it cost?

I charge a sliding scale from $100-150 per 60-minute session.

To determine where you fall on the sliding scale, I invite you to consider political, historical, & personal factors that comprise your socioeconomic position.
Example
Experiencing socioeconomic privilege? Pay 130-150.
Are you currently but not reliably economically comfortable? Pay 115-125.
Feeling financially stressed or struggling with economic injustice? Pay 100-110.
~ I accept electronic payment through a secure app called Ivy Pay (you don’t have to download anything). Cash or check is also fine.
Payment is required at the time of the session.

Do you take insurance?
I do not accept or bill any insurance.

Do you do Telehealth?
I am open to having telehealth appointments with established clients with whom I’ve been working for a long time. We can talk about it once we’ve got a good rhythm going together.

What’s your cancellation policy?

Please give me 24+ hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule.
No-show appointments or repeat same-day cancellations will result in a cancellation fee of $100.
